General Rental Terms
Requirements for Entering into a Rental Agreement
Drivers aged over 23 and under 72 may rent any vehicle from Funny CARS IKE, provided they hold a valid driving license for at least one year.
To collect the vehicle, the following documents are required:
- Valid European Driving License or valid International Driving Permit
- Valid ID card or Passport
- Credit or debit card, or cash if no card is available
(The card is used as a guarantee in case of damage.)
A rented vehicle may also be driven by a second driver, provided they present the required legal documents. There is no additional charge, but the second driver must be declared in the rental agreement at the start of the rental.
Vehicle Pick-up and Return
At pick-up, the renter must check the vehicle inspection form to confirm any existing damages.
The vehicle must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at pick-up. If returned with less fuel, in addition to the fuel cost, a one-time Fuel Service Charge of €10 will apply.
Extension of Rental Period
If the renter wishes to extend the rental period beyond the original agreement, they must contact Funny CARS IKE at least 48 hours before the rental expires, so the contract can be renewed (subject to availability).
If the vehicle is returned earlier than agreed, the remaining amount remains in favor of the company.
After the agreed rental period ends, the Lessor allows a 30-minute grace period without charge.
Delays up to 6 hours are charged at 50% of the daily rate.
Delays over 6 hours are charged at 100% of the daily rate.
Cancellation Policy
Reservations can be canceled free of charge if canceled at least 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up time.
If you cancel less than 48 hours before pick-up or fail to collect the vehicle, the total amount paid will be retained as compensation.
Reservation changes are allowed up to 48 hours before pick-up, subject to availability.
If the modified reservation costs more, the difference must be paid at the time of modification.
If it costs less, no refund will be issued.

Payment Terms
Payment can be made in cash or by debit/credit card.
If paying in cash, a credit card is required to hold the security deposit amount according to company terms. This amount will be released at the end of the rental, provided all contract terms are respected.
If you provide debit/credit card details for payment, you expressly authorize Funny CARS IKE to make any related charges in accordance with these terms and the General Rental Terms.
Vehicle Pick-up and Drop-off Location
Vehicle pick-up and drop-off are available at the company offices in Kavala and at Kavala Airport without additional charge.
Distances up to 30 km are charged €15.
Distances over 30 km are charged €0.30 per km.
Pick-up or drop-off outside business hours incurs a €25 charge.
Geographic and Mileage Restrictions
Vehicles may not leave Greek territory without prior written approval from the Lessor.
Transporting the vehicle by ferry is allowed only with written consent from Funny CARS IKE. In case of damage during ferry transport, no insurance coverage applies.
Maximum mileage:
150 km per day
3,000 km per month (for monthly rentals)
Exceeding these limits is charged at €0.07 per km.
Fines and Violations
All fines and administrative penalties due to driver fault are fully charged to the renter.
If a violation results in license plates or registration removal, the renter will be charged at least the equivalent of three additional rental days.
Renter’s Liability
The renter is responsible for:
- Damages caused intentionally, negligently, or through misuse (e.g., improper loading, off-road use, driving under influence, dangerous/illegal cargo, engine over-revving, etc.)
- Damage caused by incorrect fuel
- Damage resulting from breach of contract terms
- Damage due to natural disasters, terrorism, vandalism, or riots
- Damage to the underside, roof, antenna, mirrors, and tires
- Damage occurring while the vehicle is transported by ferry/train or other transport
Funny CARS IKE may be liable only for foreseeable and direct damages resulting from breach of these terms, under the circumstances of each case. The compensation shall not exceed the rental cost.
Funny CARS IKE is not responsible for indirect damages (e.g., loss of profit or opportunity).
